• Maintenance Engineer in Enfield India Ltd (1980-82) 

• Assistant Engineer in PWD ( 1982-83) 

• Joined Department of Tamil Nadu Electrical Inspectorate in 1983 and retired as CEIG in 2015

• Calibration and Testing of electrical measuring instruments; testing of motors, transformers and other electrical equipments 

• Scrutiny & approval of electrical drawings and Inspection of Extra High & High Voltage installation under CEA (MSES) Regulations, 2010, Investigation of electrical accidents and fire cause analysis 

• Coordinated various State Government Departments and stake holders for the implementation of energy efficiency measures and policy formulation in the State of Tamil Nadu under the Energy Conservation Act, 2001

• Certified Energy Auditor under BEE (Ministry of Power) 

• Conducting Seminars organized by BIS, CEA, BEE, IEEE, FICCI etc. on Electrical Installation Design, Safety, Earthing and Energy Conservation
