Fire in 18-storey building in Mumbai

MUMBAI: A fire broke out in a flat of a 18-storey building in Mira Road’s Kashimira on Monday evening.

Interior work was underway in a flat located on the 14th floor of Raj Estate, Jari Mari Talav, Kashimira.

Fire fighters said that a short circuit is believed to have caused the fire.

Labourers working in the flat managed to run to safety. As the smoke spread to the upper floors, residents managed to run out of the building.

No injury has been reported so far.
